Life can sometimes be tricky to navigate. One day you're feeling great, and the next everything comes crashing down. Seeing a therapist during stressful times can provide a fresh perspective, and someone to listen when you need to talk things out. Also, you don't have to wait until things are bad to see someone! Getting to know yourself better and growing your confidence when things are going okay in your life can really help to keep you feeling strong when life throws you a curveball. I offer therapy for a number of different situations, from personal growth, anxiety, depression or grief, to queer specific challenges.
It’s easy these days to get caught up on big goals, there is a lot of pressure to achieve. But when you focus so much on long term targets, your day to day life can start to suffer. While therapy is helpful for achieving goals, it is also great at giving space to the little things that can add real joy into your life, and make the journey more peaceful.
As someone who has benefited from counselling myself, I understand that it can be hard to find the right therapist for what your specific needs are. Even the act of “looking” for a mental health provider is a big step in the right direction. If you're ready to reach out - please do. I'm accepting new clients and offer free consulations.
