About
Welcome! I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist currently accepting clients. I provide counselling and psychotherapy to adults, young adults and teenagers. I am experienced in a variety of mental health concerns including trauma/ Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, emotion dysregulation, and life transitions. I have a special interest in working with first responders, having done research in police officer mental health. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization (EMDR) and Prolonged Exposure Therapy.
The counselling process can be scary, nerve-racking and uncomfortable. I take this into account with each client I meet. My goal is to provide a safe and non-judgemental space for each individual to share their story. I believe the relationship between the therapist and client is an important factor in facilitating change within the counselling process.
I bring an authentic, genuine and charismatic approach to each counselling session. I understand in counselling we can experience pain, fear and sadness but I believe in the importance of creating fun, facilitating happiness and highlighting each client’s strengths. If you would like to get to know more about me I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation.
