Hello to all. Pairing elements of CBT and DBT with a Drama Therapeutic approach can lead to positive change and empowerment. As a counselling therapist, my therapeutic approach utilizes talk therapy and engages the individual's, or couple's creative mind(s) for catharsis. It is an innovative approach for those who may be stuck in old patterns or need to explore new ways to better communicate. Clients can discover new solutions to confronting challenges by rehearsing alternative responses using the “what if ” approach. You will be gently guided in this process while exploring a way to better express what might be challenging you.
A self-identifying Afro-American living in Halifax, whose ancestry extends into the Latin-Caribbean and indigenous lineage. I have no judgment on your personal history or how your relationships are organized, or lived. What I do have is an openness to discover how you can live your best life without causing hurt or harm to yourself or others.
