I am a Licensed Counseling Therapist candidate, (RCT-C) whose specific psychotherapeutic training is anchored in Drama therapeutic processes. This is a therapeutic approach that utilizes talk therapy and engages personalized creative expression for catharsis. It is an innovative approach for those who may be stuck in old patterns or need to explore new ways to better communicate them. Clients explore alternative solutions to challenges by rehearsing alternative cognitive/behavioral responses using “what if ” imagination. Engaging an element of guided, gentle imaginative physicality helps better express what might be suppressed.
A self-identifying Afro-American living in Halifax, whose ancestry extends into the Latin-Caribbean and indigenous lineage. I have no judgment on your personal history or how your relationships are organized, or lived. What I do have is an openness to discover how you can live your best life without causing hurt or harm to yourself or others.
