About
"Panic is the sudden realization that everything around you is alive" (William S. Burroughs). These are incredibly trying times we are facing, unlike ever before. In the midst of major life transitions, many are looking to better manage elevated levels of stress, anxiety, depression, fear and loneliness. In my practice, I help clients to become 'directors' of their own experience and to understand how behaviours that were once part of creatively adjusting to past environments may be interfering with their ability to function fully in the present moment. I help clients deepen into calm and return to a sense of aliveness within.
I promote self-reliance, self-regulation, relational awareness and growth using therapeutic interventions to increase calm, response-ability and 'here-and-now' awareness. Clients are provided with opportunities to try out new behaviours, develop self-awareness, and reintegrate neglected, forgotten or repressed aspects of the personality.
I specialize in working with anxiety/panic, LGBTQ folks, artists/creative types, academics, intellectuals, people with eating disorders and body image issues, disabled people, chronically ill folks and professionals in healing arts/sciences.
