"Life can be overwhelming at times... You may be suffering from trauma, anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, depression, or struggling with relationship difficulties...Why not use professional help and see how science and therapy benefit you? It could be difficult to take the first step, but most of my clients reported feeling significantly relieved after the initial session. We could together analyze what your current difficulties are and determine contributed factors for these issues. The primary goals for therapy are positive changes, new options, eliminating or reducing symptoms and/or using better coping strategies. The sessions are structured, yet relaxed."

"*Waitlist only - not currently seeing new clients - * - Starting counselling for the first time or at any point can be a very intimidating process. My priority is to make this experience less overwhelming by being transparent about the process, helping you identify the challenges you're currently facing, making goals, and creating a plan for change that you are comfortable with. We will explore the situation(s) that have brought you to counselling, discuss how you have coped so far and start to take on new perspectives by understanding the way your emotions and thoughts are impacting how you feel and behave."

"If you want to learn, to grow, and to heal you can go to therapy. Therapy is unique in that it treats problems (medical model) as well as improves an already decent life (wellness model). Therapy is effective for helping painful experiences become tolerable. It is a proven method for changing harmful thinking, relational patterns, and behavioral patterns. By helping achieve your potential and a healthy well-being, it can also be used to make good lives great. It can even expand and explore spiritual aspirations."

"I provide warm, heart-connected and empathetic counselling, coaching, mediation and hypnotherapy services to individuals, couples and families. I concentrate on "wholistic" healing and empowerment rather than on being clinical and "helping". Basically, I form what I call a "Healing Partnership" with the people who come for my services. I tend to be quite eclectic and bring a wide range of skills, techniques, modalities and wisdom to each counselling interaction. Please contact me to enhance your life and to make the most of each moment. My favourite slogan is: "Listening well is the most eloquent sign of caring.""

"We all confront difficult challenges in life. We all go through times when our deepest fears and insecurities surface and wield control over our thoughts and actions, while our strengths and values fade out of focus and out of reach. We may be flooded with unwanted and worrisome thoughts; experience intense negative emotions; feel lonely and isolated from others, become increasingly unmotivated and unproductive; and develop difficulties sleeping, concentrating, and finding fulfillment in life. If you are going through a period of suffering, this is part of what makes you human. "

Integrative Counsellors
Integrative therapy in K2H refers to therapy in which elements from different types of therapy may be used. Therapists 'integrate' two or more therapeutic styles (e.g. Cognitive and Family Systems) to bring about a personalized and practical approach to healing. These K2H integrative therapy Counsellors practice an integrative therapy style.

Integrative therapy (with a small 'i') may also refer to the process of 'integrating' the personality by taking disowned or unresolved aspects of the self and making them part of a cohesive personality whole. It reduces the use of defense mechanisms that inhibit spontaneity and allows flexibility in solving emotional problems.

How can I tell if a therapist is right for me?
Therapists in K2H are able to work with a wide range of issues.

For example, if you're seeking a marriage counsellor in K2H you'll find that most therapists are trained in marriage counselling or couples counselling in K2H and couples therapy. And they welcome families for family counselling in K2H or family therapy in K2H.
