My clients often face overwhelming emotions, feelings of neglect, isolation, and anxiety. They may feel drained and seek a secure, welcoming space to express themselves. In our sessions, we explore therapeutic methods designed to build connections and empathy, cultivate kindness and self-compassion, and create coping and personal growth strategies. Many of my clients also deal with PMDD, PME, or severe PMS, ADHD (often diagnosed later in life), and the associated anxiety, depression, and emotional dysregulation that often accompanies these conditions. I provide ADHD coaching and therapy to those who need help in this area.

For many of Carolyn's clients, PMDD has been a constant. But something has recently shifted. Symptoms arrive with less warning, hit harder, and are more difficult to manage, leaving women in their late 30s and 40s asking: is this still PMDD, or is perimenopause beginning? Often, it is both. Carolyn helps clients understand what is shifting and build practical tools to navigate it. Loss holds a meaningful place in her work, especially the death of a parent and the way grief can reshape a person's sense of self. She also supports individuals and couples navigating stress, ADHD, mood changes, and relationship conflict.

The overthinking and harsh self judgment usually do not announce themselves. They settle in gradually, one loop building on another, until one day you realize you have lost track of who you actually are. A great many of my clients, including teens and young adults, know this experience and are also navigating anxiety, perfectionism, ADHD, PMDD, or the steady pressure of expectations that never seem to ease. I create a warm, collaborative space where you can slow down, feel genuinely heard, and begin untangling what has been holding you back. The work we do together is grounded, practical, and shaped around the reality of your life.

Everyone who walks through the door brings something different, so I begin with genuine curiosity about who you are and what you actually need. The work we do together takes its shape from your particular strengths, challenges, and goals, because real change looks different for every person. I support adults moving through ADHD, PMDD, perimenopause, anxiety, grief, loss, stress, and major life transitions, with a warmth and presence grounded in the present moment and real kindness toward yourself, so that you can feel truly seen, heard, and held.

When emotions run high, self harm enters the picture, or low mood becomes a constant companion, the quiet conclusion can become that something is fundamentally wrong with who you are. Working mainly with teens and young adults, I meet that belief with gentleness and curiosity, and walk alongside people as they find their way from self criticism and uncertainty toward a real sense of kindness for themselves. That movement takes time, which is why I invest care in making sessions feel safe, honest, and free of judgment, a place where sitting with what is hard is not only allowed but welcome.

The problem rarely lives in the struggle itself. What I find, more often, is that the brain and nervous system were simply never given the tools they needed, no matter how hard a person tried. The people I see have often spent years caught inside the same loops: the same emotional responses, the same points where everything shuts down or becomes too much. I support teens and adults working through ADHD, PMDD, emotional dysregulation, and patterns like avoidance, impulsivity, people pleasing, and the constant search for approval. We go deeper together and build tools that are real, steady, and built to hold.
