Are you struggling with unresolved trauma, grief, relationship issues, anger, depression, ADHD, anxiety or low self-esteem? I am a warm, creative, compassionate and skilled psychotherapist. I help my clients safely explore current concerns from a childhood/ attachment lens but most importantly to find present day solutions! Prior to opening my private practice 12 years ago I worked for 13 years at CAMH as an addiction and trauma therapist. I operate from a relational, psychodynamic lens (talk therapy) but interweave EMDR, parts work, CBT, DBT and ACT into my work. Mostly, I guide the person not the symptoms/ diagnosis.
I use a wide range of therapeutic interventions but largely use explorative or "talk therapy"- helping clients link the past to present behaviors. I have a certificate in EMDR as well as CBT and use many cognitive based interventions such CBT, DBT, DBT-S, CPT.
I have a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology as well as Certificates in Trauma Therapy, EMDR and Cognitive Therapy. I have also taken many other clinical courses and borrow many different interventions including IFS and Attachment theory. I am a Registered Psychotherapists with CRPO and a member of OACCPP.
