I believe in an individualized, caring and respectful approach when working with clients to become more resilient and effective in their lives. Many people believe that the skills and motivation needed to maneuver all of life’s obstacles are automatically within all of us. But many of us learn ineffective ways of communicating, develop unhealthy patterns or find ourselves stuck with no idea of how to move forward. Having a dedicated time to examine patterns, build skills and develop a deeper understanding of ones’ strengths can help build a greater sense of wellness and clarity in our lives.
My highest priority is to help my clients feel safe and supported as we work together to uncover strengths and generate solutions to improve the challenging life situations that can and do arise. I use an integrated approach when supporting others, meaning that I recognize and value the knowledge, skills and insights from all the main models of counselling.
I consider it a privilege to work with my clients, and enjoy working with individuals, couples and family groups to support and help others feel empowered in their lives. My office is conveniently located in the Royal Oak Plaza, is wheelchair accessible and offers free parking.
