I’ve had the privilege to witness clients make brave, remarkable changes in their lives through engaging in therapeutic conversations. I draw strongly on an understanding of child development and the significant impact adverse experiences can have on our growing up.
I am eclectic in my approach, primarily using narrative and TF-CBT, and believe that the power to change lies within you, not the therapy used. My primary area of specialization is interpersonal violence, working with individuals who have experienced all forms of child abuse; developmental trauma/neglect/physical/sexual abuse, or youth dating violence.
I specialize in supporting youth/young adults to develop their own personal code to their sexual decision making, concerning sexual behaviour. It is important that our work together fits your learning style whether you live with learning disabilities, a developmental delay, FASD, or ASD. I endeavour to use tools to support your learning wherever possible.
