I am a Registered Social Worker and my private practice work is dedicated to working with people wanting to explore and develop healthy personal goals and interpersonal relations in a welcoming, safe, and comfortable space. My approach makes use of various philosophical, cultural, social-emotional, and psychological theories, practices, and models that are informed by my formal education, training, and clinical work efforts. The methods I use are client centred and solution-focused as we strive to be healthier members of our families and communities.
As a full time therapist for over 20 years I have worked with / within various school boards, legal systems, and mental health settings. I bring a broad set of clinical skills, knowledge, dedication and experience to my social work practice.
My special interests include: attending to and addressing crisis situations, overall mental health, substance use/abuse, addictions, personality traits, and exploring the ways in which we humans aspire to move through life and developmental phases by integrating and adapting to our ever changing thoughts, feelings, and interpersonal and social experiences.
