Welcome to HeartStrings Therapy. My name is Alys. Maybe you have been experiencing feelings of grief, confusion, isolation, exhaustion, loss, or feeling “stuck”. Maybe you’re looking for another perspective, or someone to help you understand your thoughts and feelings. Together, we can acknowledge the path that brought you to this point, and open your heart to new and creative ways forward in your journey. We will meet in a safe, quiet space, or online in the comfort of your own surroundings. This is your time: an opportunity to think, feel, and say things that might not be easy to share.
As your therapist, I will walk beside you on your path for a time, acting as fellow-explorer, listener, witness, and facilitator. You can tell me what you are ready to talk about, and go at a pace that feels right for you.
I believe that our early experiences shape the way we are in the present, impacting our sense of self, our relationships, and our beliefs about the world. By examining the ways the past influences the present, we can change habitual patterns and behaviours, live a more satisfying life, and express what matters most.
