Hayley specializes in working with individuals who are experiencing symptoms of OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), BFRBs, Tics and high anxiety. She understands the distress that comes with intrusive thoughts, repetitive rumination and repetitive behaviours, and how one's life can be greatly affected. She is equipped to support the complexity of each unique experience with compassion and care, tailoring the support sessions to see effective change.
All sessions are conducted online via Zoom.
ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy) as well as CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) are used as the main modalities of treatment. Hayley provides psychoeducation to help you better understand and make sense of the symptoms you are experiencing.
Hayley understands the difficulty in talking about the intrusive thoughts that you may be experiencing. She understands the complexities with anxiety and how shame is often involved. She goes at the pace that you set, and takes your lead. She enjoys holding space for personal growth while giving gentle nudges to challenge your process of treatment.
