When was the last time you experienced harmony with your core principles? At Hartwell Counselling, I provide a compassionate and transformative therapy rooted in evidence-based practices such as EMDR. EMDR which stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing and its the gold standard for treating and processing trauma. EMDR reduces trauma symptoms in a shorter time frame than the traditional talk therapy. Many clients have reported a reduction of traumatic symptoms after the initial few sessions of EMDR. EMDR is not a magic cure for trauma but it might produce some symptoms relief.
EMDR is a unique and innovative form of psychotherapy that enables individuals to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress resulting from disturbing life experiences. EMDR harnesses the brain's natural healing processes, it offers a pathway to recovery and resilience for many individuals struggling with the aftermath of trauma.
Through the integration of EMDR, somatic therapy and other evidence-based psychological modalities, I guide clients on a transformative journey. By fostering self-awareness and providing tools to navigate and process emotions at a deep, cellular and embodied level; I empower clients in unlocking their potential for resilience and lasting mental wellbeing.
