I work with children and families. I believe in the importance of good mental health for even the youngest members of our society and I am passionate about seeing families become stronger together.
Young people can have big problems too! Anxiety, depression, trauma and grief are all things that impact young and old. I am here to help young people navigate these life challenges; I have studied child development and bring this knowledge into sessions to help kiddos in an age-appropriate way that respects who they are as individuals and how their brains are wired to operate.
I use a few different methods and modalities - all of which can incorporate a healthy, and age-appropriate form of play! This could mean songs and rhymes, toys, imaginative play or games. Play not only helps keep children engaged, it gives them a natural way to express their feelings and fears.
