I have focused my professional career on working with people in mental health crisis. At times, it can feel like we go from crisis to crisis and struggle to address our underlying needs. As we try to make sense of the world after a traumatic experience, it can often change how we view ourselves, others and the world. Discovering the need behind the behaviour often involves examining what we are telling ourselves to remain safe. I will help you discover that you are not your trauma or your symptoms.
I became a Registered Social Worker in 2014 and received my Masters of Social Work in 2017. I have a flexible approach to support you with your goals; working from a trauma informed lens and utilizing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy and Dialectic Behavioural Therapy skills.
Recovery is possible. All are welcome in a safe space and I look forward to working with you.
