My role in the therapeutic environment is to provide my clients with a safe, warm and open space where a variety of emotions, thoughts and behaviours can be freely expressed, heard and explored. I work collaboratively with my clients to identify their needs, to develop an understanding of the self, and to instil the motivation and appropriate skills to work toward a change in their attitudes, narratives, behaviours and quality of life.
Through the use of effective, evidence-based techniques, we will assess your perception of self and the world around you, and help you make appropriate changes that are in your control. The goal is to increase your well-being and to inspire you to live in a way that you feel most fulfilled and meaningful.
I understand that the therapeutic process may be challenging, as it can include confrontation of painful situations and/or relationships that may create a sense of discomfort.
