About
I believe many problems and symptoms can arise when there are emotions or aspects of life we are avoiding, numbing out, or pushing away. Perhaps it seems like what you are facing has exceeded your resources, or certain issues have been present for a while but are now too difficult. Or the world is overwhelming and you feel misunderstood by others. Therapy is a journey of self-discovery in which you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and reflect on your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. We will work together to identify patterns and find new ways of being. It is never too late to begin the work to reach your potential.
I can help with depression, anxiety, addictions, and motor vehicle accidents. I use psychodynamic and CBT to promote self-awareness, healing, and growth. I'm working on specializing in Highly Sensitive People (HSP) as I am one myself. If this is you, I will use my lived experience, and psychological knowledge, as we navigate this over-stimulating world.
As a Provisional Psychologist, I might discuss your case with my supervisor. He helps by giving me guidance, new ideas, and changing my approach if necessary. This ensures we're on the right path and that I am offering you the best therapy I can possibly provide.
