Hi! I am Wendy Sumner. As a CNP and an RN with many years experience in Pediatric Oncology, NICU, and Early Pregnancy Loss Clinic, I have worked with families as they have journeyed through some very painful life experiences including, death of a child by cancer, infant loss at delivery or in early infancy, as well as in early pregnancy. I also work with menopause, pregnancy, parenting and anxiety. I hope that my clients will feel open to be themselves, to explore their struggles and concerns in a safe space as we sit and learn together. I trust they'll be self motivated to explore possibilities with me to work for change.
My primary focus is grief and loss which covers so many areas of our lives. First, with the death of a loved one. Also, there can be sadness and mourning in children leaving home, in losing a desired job position, in a health diagnosis, in a significant move, in divorce and in death of a beloved pet to name just a few areas of our lives that grief touches.
I welcome time to sit together with you in a place of grace and learning. I trust you will feel embraced for who you are and seen for where you are at in this moment in time. I trust you will know you are valued and cared for, just as you are. And with time and work together, I believe growth and healing will happen.
