I have over 20 years of experience in mental health and substance use services. My areas of competence include working with individuals in the LGBTQIA community, addiction, depression, anxiety, anger, and interpersonal violence. Having worked for over two decades as a frontline registered nurse, social worker and clinical counsellor in health care, I have an interest in working with individuals and front line workers in the health care field.
I draw upon various modalities, including Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, and Somatic Experiencing. I am also in my third and final year of Somatic Experiencing training.
Outside of my professional life, I love spending time outdoors and you may very well see me on one of the many hiking trails in the Okanagan. I also love animals. My partner and I have two cats, Casey and Carl. Carl wants a dog but Casey is against it.
