There are times in our life when it feels like nothing we do makes a difference. Problems become complicated by issues associated with our struggles managing mood or anxiety, feelings of shame, or coping with grief and loss. Situations such as transitions related to life stages, conflict or loss of connection in significant relationships, or changes in mental well being can be distressing and overwhelming. I work hard to build collaborative alliances with clients to co-construct different narratives about our relationship with problems, and develop alternative personal stories of strength, growth and recovery.
I am a skilled and experienced therapist who works with individuals, couples and families in the Georgian Triangle area. I offer a no cost 15 minute consultation which can be used to ask questions, briefly discuss what you are looking for, how I work and what you might expect in the therapy process.
My educational background includes a Masters degree in social work and certificate programs in marriage and family therapy and Narrative therapy. I'm also a trained Restorative Justice facilitator. Much of my work is with couples who are experiencing the effects of conflict, emotional withdrawal or extra marital affairs in their relationship.
