I work with high functioning women in their 30's and 40's who look like they have everything together on the outside - but internally feel overwhelmed, anxious or stuck in cycles of overthinking. Many of my clients' are professionals navigating anxiety, OCD, intrusive thoughts, burnout or shifts in mood. They're used to being capable and responsible, which can make it harder to understand why their mind won't 'shut off', or why things suddenly feel like too much. You might be wondering: Why can't I stop overthinking? Is this anxiety, or could it be OCD? Why do I feel so exhausted even though I'm functioning?"
If this sounds familiar, you're not alone - and there are ways to work through this, that actually help. My approach is both practical and supportive. I use structured therapies such as CBT and DBT to help you manage intrusive thoughts and OCD patterns, reduce chronic overthinking and anxiety, navigate burnout and low mood with realistic tools.
As a nurse psychotherapist, I also bring a strong clinical lens. If you're on medication, we can thoughtfully explore how they are working for you and collaborate with your physician when adjustments may be helpful. Therapy doesn't have to feel vague or overwhelming. With the right support things start to make sense again and feel manageable.
