I primarily work with late-diagnosed autistic individuals and disabled folks who are exploring their neurodivergence or disability, and the impact i across identity, relationships, work, and well-being. Together, we unpack the ways in which neurobiological differences shape experiences, social interactions, and patterns of emotional regulation in a world built with neurotypical norms in mind.
My approach is affirming, curious, and grounded in research. Our work may include processing the grief, relief, or confusion that can come with a diagnosis or self-identification, as well as redefining self-understanding obeyond pathologizing frameworks. We explore masking and burnout, develop strategies for sustainable living, and cultivate self-compassion.
I also provide neurodiversity-affirming, narrative-based adult autism assessments. These assessments are conducted in-person or virtually to clients who reside in Alberta. Additionally, I can support clients in exploring community resources and funding (e.g., tax credits, post-secondary funding, accommodations, etc.).
