I have focused on developing my skill sets to help clients struggling with depression, anxiety, communication challenges, emotional dysregulation, life stressors, low self-esteem, trauma, addictions and impulse control challenges (i.e. ADHD). I also work with individuals who are struggling with chronic pain. I have been a Registered Psychologist since 2005. I regularly attend workshops and other trainings to keep my skills current and to find the best options to help my clients.
My style is calm, quiet and listening based. While I am happy to provide suggestions if you ask, I first want to take time to hear your story. It can be very hard to start therapy so there is often a lot stored up. In order to provide you with tailor made help I greatly value understanding your situation.
My first goal in therapy is to give you a place to safely talk. Once you feel comfortable then I want to work with you on the concern you bring to session. I want to be sure to use my expertise and the therapy approach that will best help you to reach your goal at a pace that works for you.
