About
Accepting new patients. In-person sessions (Centretown). The goal of my treatments is not only to alleviate or extinguish psychological symptoms, but also to allow patients to better know and understand themselves. Working with an interpersonal psychoanalytic approach will lead you in the exploration of both conscious and unconscious experiences, which fosters a better functioning within your interpersonal contexts. I have been working with a large variety of patients of all ages, treating them not as a mere set of symptoms but as whole people with unique and unrepeatable stories.
Starting therapy is a delicate and important decision. That is why, before proposing a treatment, the patient and I usually undergo an assessment phase. During the first sessions, I can learn about your current situation, story, and goals, which allows me to determine the best approach and ensure that I am the best fit for your needs.
I also want to emphasise that among the several tasks of my treatments, the main one is to make the patient independent from both the therapy and myself. In this way, the end of therapy is often felt as a natural evolution of the journey that the patient and I started together. Feel free to book a free 15 minute call to discuss about your needs.

Francesco Campanile's Groups
Ottawa Interpersonal Psychoanalytic Group Therapy
Since in our western culture therapeutic treatments are mostly represented in the form of individual psychotherapy, most therapists and patients overlook group therapy as a potential solution to the psychological suffering we, as humans, go through. Group therapy is as effective as individual therapy and can help patients overcome a large variety of mental health issues. Please, visit www.ottawagrouptherapy.com to learn about how to participate in the weekly in-person groups.
