Our early relationships and experiences play a significant role in shaping who we are, and how we perceive the world, which can sometimes result in problematic ways of thinking and dealing with emotions. Consequently, this can lead to emotional turmoil, unfulfillment and dissatisfaction in life, as well as challenges in relationships, work or school, and unhealthy ways of coping. I strive to guide my patients through exploring and processing their experiences so that they can learn better ways to manage, and ultimately feel more present and fulfilled in their lives.
My therapeutic approach is integrative in nature and entirely patient-centered. I firmly believe that the foundation for growth and change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship, which is prioritized in the work that I do with my patients. I work with children, teens, and adults, and I specialize in learning issues, anxiety, mood disorders, and PTSD.
The emotional experience of suffering in some capacity is inevitable in life; however, finding ways to move through our suffering is what builds resiliency and helps us move forward. The prospect of doing so can feel daunting and terrifying initially, but it has the potential to be life changing. Please reach out if you think I may be able to help.
