About
I feel it is a privilege to be a therapist. I love my work. I take a creative and collaborative approach in my practice; researching innovative techniques and information to help you make the changes you desire. Both my hours and my methods are flexible and are tailored to the needs of each individual. In addition to in-person counselling, my services include telephonic, video, and provision of reading materials if needed after the session.
I am a registered clinical counsellor, with a PhD in Psychology (candidate), M.A. in counselling psychology and over ten years of experience in the fieId. My counselling focus, includes Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and the Solution-Focused approaches. I am fluent in three Asian languages (Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi).
My services are open to all ages and include counselling for at-risk behaviours, abuse, trauma, anger, violence, grief, relationships, anxiety, PTSD, and other life issues. As a first generation immigrant, I understand the value of a strong support network. I focus on counselling individuals in need of urgent support dealing with emotional challenges.
