As an Asian immigrant, I understand how deeply our upbringing, cultural values, and lived experiences shape the way we see ourselves, navigate relationships, and engage with the world. Having walked my own journey of transition, from being a university instructor in Beijing to building a new career and life here, I am committed to bringing deep empathy and a culturally informed lens into the therapeutic space. My experience raising a teenage son and supporting young adults in the community further enriches my ability to support young people as they navigate life’s challenges.
In my clinical work, I focus on issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationships, and parenting. I strive to create a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your challenges openly and at your own pace. My therapeutic style is integrative, drawing from DBT, CBT, and EFT, and is flexibly tailored to your unique needs.
I currently offer online video counselling with flexible scheduling, including weekday, evening, and Saturday appointments. To accommodate clients with different financial circumstances, I also offer sliding-scale fees.
