With over 30 years of experience as a therapist ,I am passionate about helping people. I focus on supporting people around improving their couple and family relationships, substance misuse concerns, managing mood/anxiety and stress. My therapy approach is collaborative, respectful and client centred. I strive to create a safe supportive environment for change. I work along side people to help them move forward in their lives, beyond the problems that keep them stuck. Through our work together my hope is that people will find new possibilities for living their life, improved quality of relationships and well being.
I draw from many therapeutic approaches which allows me to tailor my approach to specific needs. These approaches include cognitive behaviour therapy, narrative therapy, solution focused and couple/family systems. In my work with people I help them identify their values, skills and strengths to move towards identified goals.
My specialized trainings include Mindfulness Without Borders, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Gottman Level 1 (couples) and Relational Life Therapy, Emotional Focused Therapy ,Addictions treatment and Narrative therapy.
