I am a registered psychologist with comprehensive experience in the assessment and treatment of a wide variety of difficulties, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), adjustment disorder, anxiety disorders, mood disorders (e.g. depression, bipolar disorder, manic disorders), grief, interpersonal difficulties, pain and health management, anger management, longstanding personality issues, stress management, sleep issues, psychovocational counselling, and self-esteem challenges. I also provide assessment and treatment for patients who have been affected as a result of work-related accidents or motor vehicle accidents (MVAs) and who suffer from driving phobia, in conjunction with a qualified driving instructor.
I have experience with both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric populations. Treatment is primarily cognitive-behavioural in nature, although various other modalities are employed as well. I am also certified in the use of hypnosis. There are several associates at my clinic who deal with other issues and treatment modalities.
Moreover, I have extensive experience in the psychological assessment and treatment of the geriatric/aging population. More specifically, I deal with psychotherapy for issues in aging, differential diagnosis between depression and dementia, behavioural management and consultation for families, and retirement residences and nursing homes.
