I offer culturally sensitive counseling both in English and Spanish. I believe that understanding someone's culture and world-view is a key element in the therapeutic work. For over 20 years, I have helped clients from different cultural backgrounds suffering from depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and trauma. I work with adults, couples and families facing life crisis such as divorce, relationship problems, parenting issues, grief, career change, health concerns, abuse, etc. I can work with you to help you process challenging present and past experiences to facilitate your journey towards personal healing and growth.
Sometimes, past experiences have long lasting negative effects that prevent us from moving forward in life. These experiences from our past may keep us from having healthy relationships, fulfilling careers and enjoyable, meaningful lives.
I am a Canadian Certified Counselor and have extensive experience in the clinical and academic fields. I also provide supervision to mental health professionals.
