I am a Registered Social Worker providing counselling and psychotherapy for a wide range of concerns, including trauma and abuse, anxiety, and grief and loss. I use a variety of treatment modalities, including EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP), Narrative Therapy and Creative Strategies. I have a client-centered approach, firmly believing that all people with whom I have the privilege to collaborate have skills and strengths for growth and change. If you choose to do counselling with me, I will work with you in the unique place that you are at, from a holistic framework.

I have been in the counselling field for over 20 years and have specialized expertise in the area of trauma and abuse. I am a member of numerous associations, including OASW, EMDR Canada and EMDRIA. In addition, I recently collaborated with several colleagues to form the Ontario Trauma Network (www.ontariotraumanetwork.ca).

I am a Certified EMDR therapist and have been incorporating EMDR into my work since 2003. I have also completed Levels 1 & 2 of Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, as well as additional SP training. I often combine EMDR with art, narrative strategies and sensorimotor work (see www.sensorimotor.org for more information).
