For many, modern life exasperates the struggle we have with meaning & purpose, self worth, loneliness, attention, and the ability to regulate our emotions. Using existential, mindful, cognitive restructuring, and parts work, I aim to help you develop a relationship with yourself, other people and the world that gives you more meaning and contentment, that allows your to respond instead of react your way through life. We explore your beliefs, attitudes, and behaviours so you can influence them as much as possible , and not the other way around. By making patterns of thinking/feeling/acting conscious we can gain more agency over them.
Are you conscious of the story you tell yourself about who you are & what life means? Is it written by your inner hero or your inner critic? Is it fuelled by excitement or anxiety? By courage or fear? By exploring these topics I aim to help you become more compassionate and understanding about where you've come from, and hopeful about where you're going.
Everyone gets validation from the inner AND outer world - the question is, how much do you get from each? By exploring what it takes to adjust this ratio, we will working to create a sustaining practice that you can engage in outside of therapy to make sure you are living your life in a mindful, responsive way, fuelled by as much inner worth as possible. :)
