Most people (or couples) reach out to begin psychotherapy when they are feeling lost, unhappy, lonely or that something needs to change. Often, they do not know what that is, but feel they need some assistance and guidance in examining the more hidden corners of themselves and their lives. Therapy is different with every person, and is therefore a very personal journey. I am a licensed psychologist who works with adults and couples struggling with depression, anxiety, eating issues, parenting struggles, or difficulties in any important domains of their lives. I help couples having a hard time reach each other in important ways.
First, I am curious about you, and try to cultivate an environment in which you become more curious about yourself. I have a down-to-earth approach that has been informed by a range of orientations to help you explore the thoughts and feelings that we often try to keep at bay. I don't subscribe to any one way of doing therapy or understanding people.
I look forward to getting to know you and answering any questions you may have.
