Groups
DBT Treatment Group, Youth

Group provides a space for practicing interpersonal skills, interpersonal support, new connections, and the development of comfort in a social context. Group leaders provide compassion and empathy while also challenging you to replace self-defeating beliefs, behaviours and emotions for more positive and productive ones, and ultimately achieve life goals. DBT focuses on four sets of skills, each taught in 5 week modules: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation and Interpersonal Effectiveness. The modules repeat every 20 weeks, allowing clients to repeat the group until they have developed a good grasp of the skills and have integrated them into their lives.
