Erin believes that seeking treatment is a step that can change one’s life. People are not defined by their symptoms or diagnoses. Erin expertly works with her clients to change their thinking patterns, behavioural responses, tendencies to self-harm or become suicidal, and ability to regulate emotions. By learning to understand, value, and accept their emotions, clients can overcome overwhelm and improve their lives. Erin approaches therapy with empathy, developing a trusting rapport with her clients and exploring issues non-judgementally. Erin will help you navigate life with improved relationships, awareness and resilience.
Erin’s down to earth approach and warm personality enable her to connect quickly with others. She provides the right combination of support and challenge so that clients can move towards a more skillful and productive life. Erin is deeply committed to helping people make the changes they want to see in their lives.
Erin works with PEACE Psychotherapy, a group of independent therapists committed to promoting empathy, acceptance and compassion for all. DBT Treatment Group, Adults
Group provides a space for practicing interpersonal skills, interpersonal support, new connections, and the development of comfort in a social context. Group leaders provide compassion and empathy while also challenging you to replace self-defeating beliefs, behaviours and emotions for more positive and productive ones, and ultimately achieve life goals. DBT focuses on four sets of skills, each taught in 5 week modules: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation and Interpersonal Effectiveness. The modules repeat every 20 weeks, allowing clients to repeat the group until they have developed a good grasp of the skills and have integrated them into their lives.
