About
My work includes a deep commitment to the well-being of my clients. I work with those who are 19 and older and offer individual as well as group sessions. I understand that stress affects our mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual selves. In my specialized practice, I support people whose difficult life experiences have resulted in post traumatic and dissociative responses, as well as anxiety and depression. I assist my clients to make the shift from surviving to thriving. I often work experientially in sessions using parts work and music, with a focus on relationship and emotion. We'll collaborate on a plan that works for you.
I have experience with phobias, panic disorder, bipolar, low self-esteem, perfectionism, people seeking personal growth (identity, personality, & relationship issues), neglect, abuse, burnout, grief & loss, compassion fatigue, adjustment, and music performance anxiety. I particularly enjoy working with adult children of narcissistic parents.
I have specialized training in CBT, ACT, AEDP, & EMDR for trauma & dissociation. I also offer sessions using music & imagery, and Guided Imagery & Music (GIM). I have completed training through the Traumatology Institute (Toronto), Boston Trauma Centre, & Cape Cod Institute, and the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (NY).

Erin Montgomery's Groups
Resiliency & Recovery Skills for Complex Trauma
A ten-week group for women 25 yrs & older. Provides education, and recovery & resiliency skills for adult survivors of trauma. The group will help you understand the many different thoughts, feelings and symptoms you may have as an adult after experiencing traumatic events. The group will provide members with exercises and skills to foster safety and stability. We do not discuss our history. Potential participants will speak with Erin before registering for group to ensure that it is appropriate for them. Next group beginning Tuesday, January 21 2020. Fee is $500 for the 10 week program. This group focuses on resource-oriented receptive music listening experiences and group processing for those who have trauma & dissociation. Please note: this group is currently full for Fall 2019.
