My approach to therapy is grounded around the belief that the therapy room is a place for you to experience a validating and empathetic relationship that creates comfort in self-exploration. I understand that starting counselling can be scary, but it doesn't have to be. I strive to ensure that you experience a space where your comfort and safety is prioritized; I will go at your pace and only explore the more personal parts of you when you feel ready. I take a gentle and compassionate approach while providing an encouraging push to build understanding of yourself, past experiences, and systems that affect you.
I have experience working with youth living with Autism and I am passionate about supporting the neurodiverse community. Additionally, I have worked with clients who have experienced anxiety, ADHD, trauma, PTSD, depression, panic attacks, or interpersonal struggles. In session, I used a compassionate approach as we explore your experience and create change.
I focus on creating a warm and trusting relationship where you can feel safe, accepted, and respected for who you are. I am acutely aware of the privilege I have as a white, cis, heterosexual man, and have committed to cultural humility and deconstructing traditional masculine norms while utilizing my privilege for equity and advocacy.
