I am the owner of Equinox Therapeutic. I most enjoy providing services to individuals who feel, in some way, "stuck" but feel that somehow, someway, life MUST have something better in store for them! Whether it's because of traumatic experiences that you still carry the weight of, or the sense that your current coping mechanisms are no longer functional for you, I can help you untangle the web of your past or present...allowing you ultimately to emerge with a true understanding of who you are, and a sense of empowerment and potential to be who you want to be. 2SLGBTQ+ affirming, and all expressions of queerness are welcome!
I specialize in treating trauma-related effects as well as addictions, including eating disorders. Depression, anxiety, and relationship struggles also frequently accompany these issues, so I work with these as they come up. Using an eclectic orientation, I'll present different treatment ideas so you can decide what best "fits" for you.
Along with standard office-based therapy, I also offer an experiential approach to therapy, called Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP). In EAP, we get out of the office and into a field with horses, and explore therapeutic issues as they come up in the moment!
