About
In therapy, the greatest change happens when youth and their families feel safe and connected. I aim to create a warm, inclusive, and non-judgmental environment to foster a strong and collaborative therapeutic relationship. I practice in evidence-based interventions for children and adolescents struggling with emotional and behavioural concerns. I approach therapy from a cognitive-behavioural framework that is attachment- and trauma-informed. I regularly integrate or adapt to other evidence-based treatments to meet the specific needs of youth and families. I also have expertise in parent training to help parents support their child.
I have extensive training and clinical expertise in child and youth mental health. I completed my MSc and PhD in Clinical Psychology from UCalgary and my residency at UManitoba. In addition to private practice, I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at UManitoba (remote) where my research focuses on evidence-based interventions to promote family wellbeing.
Emotional and behavioural change is hard. I strongly believe that we are all doing the best we can - and yet, we need to improve to make that change happen. If you’re looking for evidence-based therapy to support child wellbeing, please reach out by email to discuss how I can help your child make meaningful change and live the life they want.
