About
Our experiences change the way we think, feel, and act. Difficult experiences make us believe that others can't be trusted, that there's something wrong with us, and that we're not good enough. We feel out of control of our emotions and at the same time detached from them. We're on edge, hypervigilant, and feel like something is going to go wrong. Decision making is difficult, we think others can't be trusted, our relationships suffer, we stop finding joy in things we once enjoyed, and we're haunted by our memories. Things don't have to stay this way for ever. Your difficult life experiences are NOT a life sentence.
You can rise above your symptoms and begin living the life you want and deserve - one filled with meaningful connection, trust and joy! If things have been hard for so long it might not seem that this is even possible. Please know that there are evidence-based approaches (ones that research shows work) for the very difficulties that you're experiencing.
My goal is to empower you to see your strengths, to overcome your difficulties, and to transform your life using those evidence-based approaches. I will measure your progress to ensure we're on the right track and promise to hold onto hope for you even when you don't have it. You are not meant to do this alone - let's begin your journey together.

Loving Someone with PTSD
This workshop is for anyone in a relationship with a survivor experiencing symptoms of PTSD/CPTSD. Despite their best efforts, family and friends are often unprepared to support the survivor in their life. This group can help! Over four sessions, you will 1) Understand the impact of trauma on survivors and families, 2) Learn to effectively communicate with your loved one including: saying the right things (active listening, proactive communication) and conflict resolution, 3) Develop self-care strategies (eg. boundary setting, self-care and preventing caregiver burnout, identifying and responding to vicarious trauma)
