As a Registered Psychotherapist, working with adults of all ages, I specialize in the treatment of trauma. I provide a warm and empathic space to help you feel less alone when dealing with overwhelming issues such as: depression, anxiety, anger, relationship difficulties, addictions, and emotional volatility. I offer a space in which you can learn to feel safer and more hopeful in the world, as together we explore ways of reaching your full potential: in life, work, and your relationship to yourself and others. I am an experienced and empathic therapist and I will collaborate with you to tailor therapy to meet your individual needs.
For the past 25 years I've been helping to transform trauma both in my private psychotherapy practice, and as a clinician and supervisor in the Trauma Therapy Program at Women's College Hospital (for 10+ years). Therapy helps people realize goals, unpack nagging problems, or simply better understand being themselves. I am looking forward to working with you.
My practice is online in Toronto, and both online and in-person in Cobourg (1+ hour East of TO). I use relational, client centred, psycho-dynamic therapy which is founded on creating a safe, collaborative relationship between a client and a therapist. I also use Internal Family System, various trauma-focused Psychotherapies and mindfulness approaches.
