Hi! I’m Parul Shah, founder ,CEO of Embracing Empowerment Counselling Services (EECS), a psychotherapist, registered social worker and a Doctoral Candidate . I’ve been with OCSWSSW ( regulatory college) since 2002 and I’m a very proud First Responder family member for over 24 years. I support clients with PTSD ( PTSI), trauma , suicidal ideation, and workplace trauma ( mental /moral injuries). My clients include First Responders, their families, frontline workers, public safety professionals, NHL players, athletes, and individuals aged 18 to 70. I’m here to listen, support, and guide you on your healing journey.
When we first meet, we offer a thorough Clinical Non-diagnostic mental health consultation. We work closely with you, focusing on your needs and using evidence-based approaches. We’re EMDR Certified and trained in Advanced EMDR, a specialized trauma-focused therapy for those who’ve experienced CPTSD, PTSD ( PTSI), or Dissociative Disorder.
With 24 years in the mental health industry as a Frontline Social Worker and Psychotherapist, I believe seeking services is a right and a choice. I aim to provide a safe space for you to be yourself. EECS is part of your support system through continuity of care & empowering you one step at a time.

Individual Clinical Supervision for Clinicians
We provide a professional individual clinical supervision in an non-judgemental environment. The Clinical Individual supervision is 60 minutes in length. Individual supervision can be utilized as a hybrid model.

Empowering First Responder Families Peer Support
Empowering First Responder Families Peer Support Group Location is not publicly disclosed. Admin Fee per group is 5.00. We have also added an investment half a day workshop (paid in service) for First Responders and their partners. New cohorts will begin in Spring 2025. For More info?
