Elizabeth Fader (MSW, RSW) is a Registered Social Worker who holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from the university of Ottawa; she completed her undergraduate Social Work degree through Lake Head university; and obtained her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Windsor. Elizabeth’s unique approach brings to Dorchester Counselling, a competent focus on an enhanced therapeutic relationship, blending psychodynamic insight with practical skills.
Elizabeth believes that to create meaningful connections, and lasting changes, people must feel truly understood. She aims to create a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space grounded in curiosity and compassion. She helps individuals take sustainable steps—celebrating progress over perfection.
Experienced in the use of an eclectic, evidence-based, trauma-informed approach, Elizabeth tailors her work to each client’s strengths, needs and goals. She competently and safely supports tweens, youth and adults to navigate trauma, depression, anxiety, parenthood, life transitions, relationships, emotional regulation, and perinatal mental health.
