I specialize in all aspects of childhood, tween and adolescence: the good, the bad and the UGLY! I provide support with the goal of strengthening everyone within the family unit, for optimal functioning. I believe in flexibility, creativity and have the understanding that the youth and their families are the experts. I also support adults with the same understanding of the importance of flexibility and openness.
I specialize in all aspects of emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mood disorders and most mental health issues within a culturally responsive framework. I have lived experience of the intersection of being racialized while attempting to navigate the mental health system. I am open to meeting in the community, a park, going for walks etc.
My extensive experience working within the mental health system has driven me to try and fill the systemic gaps that our children/youth are falling through. Families and their youth, especially racialized youth, are subjected to long wait lists and systemic barriers that are harming our young people. I offer a sliding fee scale dependent upon need.
