By the time they get to counselling, most clients have been struggling with their issues for a while, and are feeling helpless and often hopeless. I specialize in helping clients identify clear goals, and in developing effective treatment plans. I assess the strenghts and areas of concern. This process is helpful because clients have often lost sight of their strenghts and consequently feel discouraged. By identifying client strengths, positive feelings start to return aand symptoms start to lift.
I know how difficult it is for most people to ask for help. We live in an individualistic society, and we are "sopposed" to know how to solve our own problems. However our world is complex, and it is a sign of strength to reach out and get help, rather than to keep struggling. I will do everything I can to make the process easy and comfortable for everyone.
