About
I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist with over 20 years of experience working within the fields of mental health and education. I offer a trauma-informed, personalized approach to treating my clients and recognize the intersectional nature of people’s lives and identities. I have worked and continue to work in schools, a non-profit organization, and private practice. I love working with youth, families and adults with varying complexities and vulnerabilities that include diverse socio-emotional concerns, depression, anxiety, academic concerns, peer and family relationship concerns, and complex trauma-related disorders.
Guided by the unique needs of each individual, I often draw from a variety of counselling modalities; incorporating elements of narrative practice, solution-focused techniques, cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, cranial electrical stimulation therapy, mindfulness and emotion focused therapy into my practice.
I like to take a collaborative, compassion-focused approach with clients. I practice from a place of humility and ensure my work is culturally aware, client-centered, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed; lenses that I instill in both my professional and personal life. I love humour and consider myself an "open-book", even if it's messy at times.
