I assist men who are seeking emotional balance, harmonious relationships and an overall sense of well-being. Individuals will prioritize these goals as a result of conflict or through some experience of loss, lack or pain. My specialty is short-term counselling, typically three to six sessions. Options for longer-term support are also available. Counselling begins with an initial consultation. The purpose of these 50-minute introductory sessions is to identify an approach that will provide you with the greatest possible benefit in the shortest period of time. A consultation can usually be scheduled within five days of your call.

Counseling and psychoeducational assessment services are for children and adolescents (ages 6 to 23). Psychoeducational services are also available for mature young adults, adults, parents, community organizations and business institutions in the form of workshops and presentations. There’s no “quick fix” when healing from trauma and the crippling effects it can have on our lives and those we love. When we’re raised to suppress our emotions, those negative feelings can explode in bursts of anger, or trickle out of us in the form of abuse. Trauma, whether it be from childhood or adulthood, is not something that can be healed by time.

Sometimes people get stuck. Individuals and couples come to me for counselling to talk about a variety of problems - things like conflict in relationships, anxiety, depression, overwhelming stress, abuse, grief, vocational crisis, or anger. A counselling relationship helps people to move from understanding issues to co-creating solutions - solutions that shrink and manage problems. I use an integrative approach, drawing on different counselling methods depending on what works best for the client, including practices from cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and solution-based therapy. I can help you to move through difficult times with courage, accountability, and positive resolve.

I assist women who are experiencing emotional pain related to family relationships, workplace conflict, social alienation and loneliness, financial problems, intimacy and sexuality, a lack of confidence, grief, loss and trauma, and who are unsure about the best way to navigate these challenges. My personal and professional experience has confirmed for me that every form of physical, mental or spiritual disturbance is an invitation to growth and transformation, and that no expression of "new life" is possible without them.
