I provide counselling services to adults of all ages and adolescents (aged 14+). I believe each client is unique and tailor my practice to each individual. I know that reaching out is difficult, so an empathetic, anti-oppressive approach to care is my top priority. I am trained in various modalities, including dialectical behaviour therapy, EMDR, narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioural therapy. My approach is variable, depending on what you would like to work through. I often draw from many of these practices.

I really don’t have an ideal client in mind. Every client has different needs and requires somewhat of a customized approach. I enjoy helping people so anyone I’m helping I’m getting a sense of satisfaction from.

Feeling overwhelmed can reveal itself without notice, it can leave us in a dysfunctional state that transfers into our everyday life. We all have a past which can influence our present! Allow yourself the opportunity to address unhealthy patterns, behaviours and attitudes, discover your triggers, develop acceptance and integrate your new insights. We will collaborate together allowing you the autonomy to choose the starting point of your healing journey. This journey will enable you to create self-awareness and self-discovery, unveiling your true authentic self. We do not need to be defined by our past.

You’ve been holding it together for a long time—high-functioning on the outside, but quietly overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of what’s next. If you’re tired of just coping and ready to understand and shift the deeper patterns holding you back, I’m here to help.

When life introduces us to complex experiences and emotions, we may find difficulty in processing the residual trauma or feel stuck in it. We may even notice a limitation to talk therapy, as our experiences with trauma may be difficult to put into words, however, an impact can still be felt by the nervous system, even through memories. Using Integrative Somatic Therapy Practice (TM), we move through what is not only conscious, but also explore what is held by the unconscious mind. This approach to somatic therapy deepens our understanding of how the body holds trauma, bringing awareness before allowing release.

Therapy feels weird. At its core, it involves divulging the things we usually reserve for the safety of our journals (or our very attentive pets) to a total stranger. As someone who has been on both sides, I can promise that I understand how hard it is to take that first leap and book an appointment with someone. There are always internal questions about whether or not this person will bet he right fit or if you'll be starting over with someone new in a few weeks and having to retell your story. As a therapist, I pride myself in being open and authentic with the folks I work with.

I am here to walk with you on your journey as I have walked on my own. I recently moved "back home" to New Brunswick, after practicing in Pittsburgh for over 35 years. Teaching others to love themselves and one another is my passion. I support you to mine the gold you carry deep inside yourself, releasing shame, isolation and the sense of “not being enough” that we all so often feel.

Feeling Blue, out of sorts, unable to concentrate, feeling stressed or overwhelmed. Perhaps you are being pulled in many directions. You may be depressed or dealing with an interpersonal problem. Are there times you are feeling irritated and ready to burst at the seams. Are you dealing with a loss in your life or a family member with a substance abuse issue. Counselling can assist you with determining the problem and develop healthy ways of coping and learn self care techniques. Anxiety can appear when we avoid our feelings and stuff them deep inside. Learn how to set healthy boundaries and ask for what we need from others.

Are you looking to connect with your self on a deeper level and want an unbiased person to talk to? Have you wanted to get support that’s focused on you and your progress? Going through major life changes; looking for help with processing a mental health diagnosis; feeling disconnected, less confident, stressed, anxious or misunderstood? Many people find themselves always taking care of others’ and leaving little time for themselves to heal and grow. Making yourself a priority is an integral piece of a therapeutic dynamic.
