I am a Registered Psychologist, Registered Marriage and Family Therapist and an Approved Supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. I work with individuals, couples and families who wish to address issues of past trauma, grief, loss, depression and anxiety, strengthen their relationship, increase intimacy and trust, or augment parenting skills.
I practice from a systemic, strength based perspective and hold a holistic, hopeful view of human nature. In in order to promote well being and help you accomplish personal goals, I will collaborate with you, relying on your own incredible resiliency and capacity to heal.
With many years of experience providing counselling and teaching family therapy courses, I am professionally trained in relationship and family therapy. I offer Self Regulation Therapy, a strength based mind/body approach designed for healing trauma.
My special interests include therapy with clients facing cultural adjustment issues, intergenerational family conflict in immigrant families, and healing from war related trauma.
