We use CBT, with an emphasis on ERP, for individuals with OCD. We also use Inference-Based CBT for individuals as this can be an excellent evidence-based alternative to ERP. This group runs for 8 weeks. When your teenager is a part of this group, they will learn key skills to help with their symptoms of OCD. What do you learn in this group? You will receive didactic information about OCD, take part in experiential exercises, and be provided with key resources and worksheets. You will connect with other youth who also have OCD. You will participate in coached Exposure and Response Prevention work. You will also learn mindfulness strategies, acceptance techniques and learn to tolerate distress.
